For several weeks in August, Kendall County deputies said Monica Aguilar stalked a woman she knew.

The Plainfield woman allegedly sent threatening messages and staked out the victim’s home.

Aguilar, 45, was charged on Feb. 3 in Kendall County with felony stalking and cyber stalking stemming from an Oswego Township woman’s allegations.

Deputy Bryan Harl said the victim reported the stalking on Aug. 24 2014. An investigation began and led authorities to Aguilar, who allegedly promised to physically harm the victim, Harl said.

Threats came in the form of harassing voice mails and text messages to the victim’s phone.

The victim also reported that Aguilar parked outside her home and stalked her over the course of several weeks.

According to Harl, there was so much time between the investigation and Aguilar’s arrest because of the time it takes for subpoenaed records to return.

“We had a lot of interviews,” Harl said.

Bail for Aguilar was set at $10,000.
