A man in his 20s showed a dark-colored handgun and robbed a taxi driver from Chicago of cash and his iPhone, with a combined value of $510, on the 400 block of South Euclid Avenue at 12:10 a.m. Jan. 21. The robber — 5-foot-6, medium build and wearing all-dark clothing — last was seen going north in Euclid.
A 19-year-old Matteson man, 18-year-old Richton Park man and three youths whose hometowns were not identified were charged with mob action for a fight on the 800 block of Lake Street at 8:17 p.m. Jan. 16.
A 24-year-old Willowbrook man was arrested at 4:57 p.m. Jan. 16 on the 500 block of North Humphrey Avenue for robbery and theft from person. He was identified as one of two people who stole a Forest Park resident’s cell phone by force on the 200 block of Chicago Avenue and among those who took a cell phone out of the hand of a Chicago resident while on a Pace bus on the 300 block of North Harlem Avenue.
A 27-year-old Oak Park man was arrested at 4 p.m. Jan. 22 on the 6200 block of Roosevelt Road after a name check showed he was wanted on Cook County warrants for aggravated battery to a peace officer and attempted burglary.
A 35-year-old Oak Park man was charged with domestic battery of another Oak Park resident that happened at 11:33 p.m. Jan. 18 on the 800 block of South Lombard Avenue.
A 23-year-old Maywood man was charged with domestic battery of an Oak Park resident on the 300 block of Wisconsin Avenue at 10:52 a.m. Jan. 18.
A 46-year-old Chicago man was arrested on the 100 block of South Harlem Avenue at 1:42 a.m. Jan. 18 for a domestic battery of another Chicago resident that happened on the 200 block of South Harlem Avenue.
A 40-year-old Oak Park woman was charged with domestic battery after she punched another Oak Park resident in the mouth on the 400 block of North Austin Boulevard, where she lives, at 11:50 p.m. Jan. 17.
A 24-year-old Chicago man was arrested on the 200 block of Madison Street at 7:18 p.m. Jan. 17 for retail thefts that happened at the CVS Pharmacy, 345 Madison St., and Walgreens, 811 Madison St.
A 46-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 8:18 p.m. Jan. 17 on the 100 block of Madison Street after a video recording showed him Jan. 14 stealing a purse from a table at a business on that block. The purse was found Jan. 14 in the men’s washroom, but $200 was missing.
A 29-year-old man and 20-year-old woman, both from Wheaton, were arrested on the 800 block of Home Avenue at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 17 on DuPage County warrants for retail theft.
A 25-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 4:20 p.m. Jan.17 for a retail theft of two electrical testers that happened Dec. 17 at Cash America, 6303 North Ave.
A 30-year-old Chicago man was charged with criminal trespass to state supported land that happened at the Oak Park Library’s main branch, 834 Lake St., at 1:16 p.m. Jan. 17, when he ignored a warning not to return.
A 27-year-old Northlake man was found to be wanted on a Cook County warrant for violating probation on a residential burglary charge after his car was stopped on the 6400 block of North Avenue at 8:58 a.m. Jan. 16 for his using a cell phone while driving.
A 5-foot-6 man in his 20s wearing dark clothing removed a section of rear overhead door next to the lock at Tobacco Zone, 6638 Roosevelt Road, in an attempted burglary between 7:15 and 7:20 p.m. Jan. 18. No entry was made. Damage was $100.
A black Apple iPhone and $4 in change were stolen between 4 and 5:15 p.m. Jan. 19 out of an unlocked van parked on the 800 block of Lake Street.
Some $10 in change was stolen between 9 p.m. Jan. 18 and 11:30 a.m. Jan. 19 out of an unlocked vehicle parked on the 1100 block of South Grove Avenue.
A Tracfone cell phone and iPhone charger were stolen between 6 p.m. Jan. 18 and 8:50 a.m. Jan. 19 out of a car parked on the 100 block of Superior Street.
Two homes on the 500 block of Harrison Street were entered through unlocked kitchen windows and burglarized between 8 a.m. and 6:53 p.m. Jan. 16. At one apartment, a 50-inch Samsung plasma television set, Hewlett-Packard black laptop computer, a silver Mac Book Pro computer, Nokia camera, and Michael Kors gold-colored watch with a combined value of $7,950 — were stolen. At the second, third-floor apartment, a coin collection and Mac Book Pro computer, which combined were worth $1,620, were stolen.
Four center caps valued at $400 were stolen between 10:30 p.m. Jan. 7 and 7:30 a.m. Jan. 8 off the hubcaps of a luxury car parked on the 1100 block of North East Avenue.
A couple in their 40s stole five bottles of lotion, which one person hid in his jacket, valued at $37.45 from the CVS Pharmacy, 345 Madison St., at 4:54 p.m. Jan. 20. They entered a silver Chevrolet Malibu, driven by a third person, that went east on Madison.

A men’s maroon, 26-inch mountain bike valued at $220 was stolen between Jan. 16 and 19 from a bike rack to which it was locked on the 200 block of South Marion Street.
A men’s unlocked 21-speed Giant mountain bike valued at $200 was stolen between 11 p.m. Jan. 18 and 6:10 a.m. Jan. 19 out of the back yard of a home on the 600 block of Washington Boulevard.
Two teens were seen dragging a bicycle out of an open garage on the 700 block of South Taylor Avenue at 4:40 p.m. Jan. 16, dropping the bike and fleeing south.
Glass was broken on the marquee of Parkview Presbyterian Church, 641 S. Oak Park Avenue, between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 21. Damage was $200.
The rear window of a van was broken with a BB-type projectile while the vehicle was parked in the driveway of a home on the 900 block of Forest Avenue between 8 and 11 a.m. Jan. 20. Damage was $300.
