A Chicago man was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bail Sunday on six charges of theft by deception of $300 to $1,000.
Jose Lopez, 37, was arrested in Cicero for allegedly making fraudulent calls to obtain merchandise without paying for it and then attempted to sell those items for cash, according to a police report.

Lopez, of the 5100 block of South Throop Street, appeared in Cook County Bond Court on Sunday. He will appear in court again Jan. 30.
