Who doesn’t love a timelapse of Chicago?

Even better? A timelapse across the country with footage of Chicago mixed in.

Videographer Joel Schat recently released a one-minute timelapse video featuring footage from Los Angeles to Chicago as part of his coverage for travel website Roadtrippers.com, which “aims to inspire and promote awareness for local, offbeat and culturally stimulating experiences.”

Images of the Chicago skyline, Willis Tower and Buckingham Fountain can be seen throughout the video. And although the cross-country timelapse was just released on Tuesday, the footage of Chicago actually appeared in Schat’s Sept. 8 timelapse video, “One Day in Chicago.” Images in that video include anything from polar bears at the Lincoln Park Zoo to footage captured from Chicago’s First Lady architecture tour on the Chicago River.

“I wanted to show off the top things that I would see and do if I only had one day to see the city,” Schat explains in the YouTube description of the Chicago video. He went on to explain that he spent a week shooting the ‘day-long’ video just to “make all of the places look as awesome” as possible, but that it’s doable in one day in Chicago. Yeah, that’s what Ferris Bueller said, too.

A full list of all the places included in the Chicago video is available here.
