Awww look, little Paige Jennings is all grown up and spying on the United States … Well, it could happen in Season 3 of FX’s family spy drama, “The Americans.”
In the latest trailer for the season, we get a recap showing Claudia (Margo Martindale) calling on Phillip and Elizabeth Jennings (Matthew Rhys, Keri Russell) to tell them the Soviets want the undercover operatives to tell their daughter (Holly Taylor) who and what they really are.
And they want the squabbling parents to train her to be a spy.
That’s where Season 3 picks up, with Phillip and Elizabeth at odds over what to do: follow the Center’s orders, or not tell Paige anything about their secret lives.
The season is again set in 1982 as the Cold War drops to a deep freeze. “The Americans” returns at 9 p.m. Jan. 28 on FX. Here’s another little teaser with some great effects.
