One person was hospitalized following a house fire in Palatine, fire officials said Thursday.
The fire started in a bedroom just before 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of E. Greenwood Court, according to Palatine fire officials.
Three adult residents were found in the smoke-filled house with a partially extinguished fire in a bedroom.
One of them was taken to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights with injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening. The other two were treated at the scene.
The house remains habitable, as the fire was largely isolated to the room, officials said.
Damage estimates and a cause for the fire are still under investigation.
