UPDATE: Tickets are now on sale for Intro’s first dinner series.

Rich Melman of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises has partnered with former L2O chef Matthew Kirkley to open Intro, a restaurant/school concept with ticketed dinners prepared by rotating chefs-in-residence.

The goal is to “introduce up-and-coming culinary talent from around the country to Chicago,” according to a statement released Dec. 15 by Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises. The menu will change with each chef-in-residence.

Intro will take the place of L2O in Lincoln Park, which is due to close Jan. 1, 2015. Dinners will range in price from $65-$95; diners can purchase them via Tock, an online ticketing system developed by Grant Achatz and Nick Kokonas of Next, The Aviary and Alinea.

Follow @IntroChicago on Twitter for ticket announcements and other news.

Intro will open in February and the first chef scheduled for a residence is Chris “CJ” Jacobson, a L.A.-based chef who appeared on Season 3 of “Top Chef” and “Top Chef Duels”
