Elmwood Park junior Anthony Perodin perseveres in the classroom

Anthony Perodin’s sophomore basketball season at Elmwood Park went about as poorly as possible.

After struggling in the classroom as a freshman, Perodin was ineligible to play to start his sophomore season. He continued to practice but struggled to improve his grades.

Around Christmas last year, Perodin and Tigers coach Tony Sylvester decided it would be best for Perodin to turn in his uniform and focus on improving his grades.
