A scheduled January trial for a Batavia woman accused of murder has been postponed, Kane County court records show.

Latoya Baines, 27, is charged with the 2012 stabbing death of Gerald Jackson at a Batavia apartment complex. Police have described the incident as a domestic dispute.

Baines has pleaded not guilty and remains held in Kane County Jail while awaiting a new trial date, which has not yet been set.

Baines is scheduled to return to court on Jan. 8 for a status hearing.
