Julio DeJesus, 26, 933 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines was charged with aggravated fleeing and driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:22 a.m. Nov. 22.

Northlake Police received a call asking for assistance on Interstate 294 near North Avenue. As they were responding, they saw a vehicle using an entrance ramp to drive off the freeway onto eastbound Lake Street.
Police chased the driver, who kept driving until getting into collision with another vehicle on Lake Street near Mannheim Road.
DeJesus has also been charged with attempting to elude a police officer, improper lane usage, speeding over 50 mph and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
He is being held in Cook County Jail against $100,000 bail. His next court date is Dec. 2.
