Zoup! Fresh Soup Company is opening a second location at 177 W. Washington (312-973-3900) Thursday. As part of its grand opening festivities, Zoup! will host a fundraising celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The event benefits the Honeycomb Project, which seeks to inspire families to make a difference by volunteering together.

Guests will receive a bowl of soup, freshly baked bread and a fountain drink for a $5 donation; 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit The Honeycomb Project.
Zoup! offers 12 rotating daily varieties of soup, with options for vegetarian, low fat, low calorie, dairy-free and gluten-free diners. In addition to soup, the restaurant’s menu includes made-to-order salads and sandwiches. This is the second downtown Chicago Zoup! launched by franchisees Jim Behling and Stan Bumstead. The pair’s first location is at 62 W. Adams St.
