Geneva
A 22-year-old Batavia woman was charged with theft on Nov. 19 for trying to fraudulently use store credit returns valued at $112 at Bed, Bath & Beyond, 1584 S. Randall Rd.
A 56-year-old DeKalb man was charged with domestic battery on Nov. 16 after he punched his wife in the jaw causing her to fall and hit her head on the brick wall of a restaurant in the 400 block of Hamilton St. They had been arguing at the restaurant, she said, and when they walked outside at 1 a.m., he hit her.
The wooden door jamb to the service door of a garage in the 1800 block of Williamsburg Avenue was damaged between Nov. 15 and Nov. 18. Police said it appeared someone had forced the service door open, causing the jamb to break. After searching the residence, nothing appeared to have been disturbed.
A 25-year-old Geneva man was charged on Nov. 16 with possession of cannabis of more than 500 grams, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found several bags of cannabis on the side of the garage in the 700 block of Illinois Street. The man’s 29-year-old brother, who lives at the same address, was charged with domestic battery after the 25-year-old called police to report that he had struck him in the face during an argument.
A 43-year-old Geneva man was charged with domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence on Nov. 15 after he grabbed the victim’s wrist, took her cell phone and pushed her against a wall.
Three metal ornaments were stolen from a basket at the front of Windsong Trading, 715 E. State St., on Nov. 15.
St. Charles
A 24-year-old St. Charles man was charged with three counts of burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to reports of a man walking up and down driveways in the neighborhood surrounding the 1200 block of Indiana Avenue. The police were familiar with the man and went to his address. When they searched his room, they found a bag of multiple items, including items such as car chargers, sunglasses, flashlights and pens. They also found a bag of fishing equipment. He later told police he had stolen a plastic cart that contained extension cords from his next door neighbor’s garage. Police also found a “bong” in his closet.

A 19-year-old St. Charles man was charged with possession of cannabis, illegal possession of alcohol, driving on a suspended license and improper signaling after police saw him driving in the center lane in the 1700 block of East Main Street on Nov. 23. Two juveniles who were in the car with him were charged with possession of cannabis.
A 50-year-old Downers Grove man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding on Nov. 22.
A 23-year-old Countryside woman was charged on Nov. 23 with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after police stopped her for swerving in the 2800 block of East Main Street.
A 30-year-old Batavia man was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage on Nov. 23 after an officer working a DUI enforcement detail saw him swerving in his lane.
A 29-year-old Elgin woman was cited for urinating in a parking lot on Nov. 22 at the corner of Cedar and North 2nd streets.
An 18-year-old Lyons man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on Nov. 21 after police found a metal grinder near his car seat.
