You don’t fuck with Billy Corgan’s love of cats.
Apparently still stung from comments made by CNN host Anderson Cooper in late-October, Smashing Pumpkins’ frontman Corgan debuted some new merch at the band’s surprise Black Wednesday show at Thalia Hall.
The message is pretty clear.

Two bow-tie clad felines grace a white T-shirt, which reads “FUCK YOU ANDERSON COOPER” alongside the band’s name. The shirt is apparently a response to Cooper’s on-air comments about Corgan, which criticized him for appearing on the cover of PAWS Magazine and in a Walter E. Smithe furniture commercial. Cooper also insinuated the artist had lost his edge.
According to music blog Consequence of Sound, the proceeds for sales of the shirt will go to an unspecified charity.
