Nude sword fighting? Netflix is definitely going for sexy in “Marco Polo,” which premieres at 2:01 a.m. Dec. 12.

The streaming service has released a trailer for the adventure series that shows how the 13th century explorer ended up in China, and how one of his new friends doesn’t let modesty keep her from slicing up an enemy.

That’s Canadian actress Olivia Cheng wielding the sword. She plays Mei Ling, an assassin who goes undercover as one of Kublia Khan’s concubines. Italian newcomer Lorenzo Richelmy plays the title character.

The international cast also includes Joan Chen (“Twin Peaks”) and Benedict Wong (“Prometheus”), who star as Empress Chabi and Kublai Khan, respectively.

Other cast members include Remy Hii as Prince Jingim, Olivia Cheng as Mei Lin, Claudia Kim as Khutulun, Uli Latukefu as Byamba, Chin Han as Jia Sidao and Tom Wu as Hundred Eyes.

The series was created by John Fusco and produced by The Weinstein Company.

Fusco (“Forbidden Kingdom,” “Young Guns,” “Hidalgo”) and Harvey Weinstein are executive producers on “Marco Polo.” Dan Minahan (“Game of Thrones,” “True Blood”) also serves as executive producer and directed two episodes for the 10-episode first season. Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg (Academy Award nominated “Kon-Tiki,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”) directed the season’s first two episodes and serve as executive producers. Patrick MacManus serves as co-executive producer. Collin Creighton produced on behalf of The Weinstein Company.
