The following items were collected from reports released by the Oak Park Police Department.

Items valued at $8,650 were stolen between 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. Nov. 12 out of a home on the 1000 block of Home Avenue where a window had been left unlocked near the rear door. Taken were a 26-inch flat-screen television set; Panasonic DVD player; jewelry; three Caterpillar toy models; Bushnell binoculars; a blue cell phone; and Nike Air Monarch gym shoes.

An Oak Park woman was scammed out of $50 during a scheme. A couple approached the woman on the 1100 block of Garfield Street at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 10 for her help in holding a large sum of money in her checking account. She drove them to an ATM on the 6000 block of Roosevelt Road and she removed cash from her checking account. They took the $50 and ran out of her car, fleeing east across Austin Boulevard. The man was thin, in his 60s and wearing glasses with red frames. The woman was in her 50s an wearing a scarf with “Jesus” on it.

One of three boys, two 16 and one 12 years old, threw a cement brick at the right forearm of an Oak Park boy on the 600 block of North Taylor Avenue at 12:35 p.m. Nov. 11 and then they all ran away.

A 49-year-old Oak Park man was charged with domestic battery of another Oak Park resident that happened on the 1000 block of Washington Boulevard at 9:23 a.m. Nov. 12.

A 62-year-old Chicago man was charged with driving under the influence after his car was stopped on the 300 block of Lake Street at 9:37 p.m. Nov. 12.

A 20-year-old Chicago man was charged with criminal defacement of property that happened at the CTA Blue Line property on the 800 block of South Oak Park Avenue at 7:17 p.m. Nov. 10.

A 44-year-old Arlington Heights man was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested on an Oak Park warrant for driving while his license was revoked after his car was stopped on the 900 block of Lake Street at 12:38 a.m. Nov. 9.

A 49-year-old Chicago woman was arrested on the 100 block of North Oak Park Avenue at 4:42 p.m. Nov. 9 on a Cook County warrant for violating her probation on exploitation of the elderly.

A 37-year-old Chicago man was charged with possession of cannabis when stopped on the 6200 block of Roosevelt Road at 9:06 a.m. Nov. 9.

A 48-year-old Chicago man was charged with disorderly conduct after he was in argument with another Chicago resident and showed a box cutter on the 900 block of Lake Street at 8:38 a.m. Nov. 8.

A 24-year-old Chicago man was charged with driving while his license was suspended when his car was stopped on the 0-100 block of Washington Boulevard at 4:43 a.m. Nov. 8. He also was wanted on a Will County warrant for driving while his license was suspended.

A 28-year-old Chicago woman was charged with driving under the influence after being in an accident on the 1100 block of North Harlem Avenue at 1:06 a.m. Nov. 8.

A Chicago man was charged with felony driving while his license is suspended when his car was stopped on the 200 block of Chicago Avenue at 9:07 a.m. Nov. 7. His age was not listed.

An Oak Park boy was charged with possession of cannabis and of drug paraphernalia when stopped on the 400 block of South Ridgeland Avenue at 10:50 a.m. Nov. 7.

A 24-year-old Chicago man was charged with battery of an Elmwood Park police officer when stopped on the 6300 block of North Avenue at 2:33 p.m. Nov. 6.

A women’s gray Fuji Absolute bicycle and a men’s black Globe Bulldog bike, both valued at $857, were stolen between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Nov. 9 out of a garage on the 900 block of North Marion Street where the overhead door had been left open,

A black Beretta .22 caliber semiautomatic gun valued at $316.40 was stolen between March 11 and Nov. 8 from out of a locked Beretta plastic gun case stored under a bookshelf in the bedroom of a home on the 1300 block of North Harlem Avenue.

Someone tried to burglarize a home on the 1100 block of Fair Oaks between 11 a.m. Nov. 6 and 10:57 a.m. Nov. 7 by prying off the door window frame and breaking the west rear window. That person unsuccessfully tried to enter through the garage north door.

An Alpine stereo and light-blue plastic art box containing markers, with a combined value of $200, were stolen between 5 p.m. Nov. 7 and 2:20 a.m. Nov. 8 out of a car parked on the 0-100 block of Randolph Street. The passenger-side window was pried open.

A men’s black Schwinn Searcher 21-speed bicycle valued at $660 was stolen between noon and 9 p.m. Nov. 12 from a bike rack to which it was locked on the 300 block of South Boulevard.

A catalytic converter valued at $150 was stolen between Nov. 7 and 11 off a truck parked on the 6600 block of Roosevelt Road.

A spare tire valued at $100 was stolen between 7 p.m. Nov. 10 and 7 a.m. Nov. 11 from a car parked on the 400 block of South Humphrey Avenue.

A blue Schwinn 26-inch bicycle valued at $100 was stolen between Sept. 15 and 19 while it was locked to a bike rack on 300 block of South Kenilworth Avenue on the east side of Brooks Middle School, police recently learned.

A spare tire valued at $100 was stolen between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Nov. 12 off the rear of a Toyota Rav4 parked on the 900 block of Pleasant.

A black 2003 Mercury Mountaineer stolen Nov. 1 was found by the owner at 11 p.m. Nov. 12 on the 7100 block of South Richmond in Chicago.

A 2015 silver Chrysler 2015 car belonging to Enterprise Rental and stolen Oct. 31 was found at 3 p.m. Nov. 10 by Chicago police on the 0-100 block of Chicago Avenue.

An Oak Park boy’s unattended black iPhone valued at $400 was stolen between 7 and 8 p.m. Nov. 7 on the second floor of the Oak Park Library main branch, 834 Lake St.

A men’s maroon, 26-inch Magna bicycle valued at $175 was stolen between 6 and 6:15 p.m. Sept. 20, police learned this week, while it was locked to a bike rack on the 7000 block of Roosevelt Road.

A vacant apartment on the 1100 block of Randolph Street was entered between Nov. 1 and 7 by someone who defeated the lock and damaged the door frame. Nothing was stolen.

Shoe prints were placed on wet cement in alley on the 300 block of Wesley Avenue between 6 p.m. Nov. 7 and 7 a.m. Nov. 8. The damage cost is listed at $4,000.

A pry tool was used to bend and damage the rear passenger door on a Huntley resident’s work van parked between 4:30 p.m. Nov. 7 and 10 a.m. Nov. 8 on the 1100 block of South Oak Park Avenue. Damage was $1,500.
