CM Punk isn’t back in the ring, but he does have a new story to tell.
WWE superstar CM Punk, aka Phil Brooks, wrote Marvel Comics’ “Thor Annual #1,” which is set to print in February. According to an interview with Punk on Marvel’s website, he’s been interested in penning a comic tale since 2011 during a trip to Comic-Con in San Diego. The edition was illustrated by artist Rob Guillory, with whom Punk is friends.
In the interview, Punk said the story will focus on Thor’s younger days, where he is a “brash, bratty teenager” and features the main character sitting around having drinks with other members of the Marvel universe.
Except for saying wrestling helped him learn how to accept failure, Punk gives no other hints at a possible return to the ring in the interview.
