The show must go on for tightrope walker Nik Wallenda.

Despite today’s frigid temps and high winds, Nik Wallenda will cancel his high-up walk between Marina City Towers and the Leo Burnett Building only if winds exceed 50-55 mph gusts Sunday, he said in a press conference Friday.

As for other conditions? Rain and fog shouldn’t matter much as long as there is some visibility, he said. Wallenda gave no temperature minimum or maximum cut off.

Should the event be cancelled Sunday, Wallenda plans to reschedule the walk for a currently unspecified later date, according to a press official.

Wallenda is slated to walk across the Chicago River 6 p.m. Sunday. The event is scheduled to be broadcasted live on the Discovery Network and live-streamed online. In fact, the live webcam is already up and running.
