DePaul forward Rashaun Stimage is expected to undergo surgery on his left foot on Wednesday and could be out up to 10 weeks, the school announced late Tuesday.

Stimage, a onetime Farragut High School star and transfer from Daytona (Fla.) State College, will have an operation to repair the fifth metatarsal midshaft fracture in his left foot.

The 6-foot, 8-inch projected starter suffered the injury last Saturday.

“Rashaun was having a great preseason,” Blue Demons head coach Oliver Purnell said in a statement. “It’s unfortunate that he will be down for much of pre-conference, but we’re optimistic he’ll be back for Big East (conference) play.”

Stimage averaged 13.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game last season at Daytona State. At Farragut he earned All-State and All-City honors after averaging 20 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks during his senior year.
