The following reports were released by the Batavia Police Department.
Batavia police are offering a $1,500 reward for information about the person who struck an officer several times from behind and fled around 3:05 a.m. on Oct. 20. The officer had exited his patrol car at the Green Meadows apartment complex, 1179 W. Wilson St., when he saw a man standing between two vehicles in the parking lot and looking inside. As he approached, another person struck the officer from behind several times. Both fled the scene. The officer was treated for his injuries at Delnor Hospital and released.
A residential burglary in the 600 block of Young Avenue was reported on Oct. 26. The burglary occurred between 4 and 7 p.m. on Oct. 25.
An 18-year-old Batavia man was charged with domestic battery for making “physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature” on Oct. 26 at his residence in the 400 block of Whipple Avenue.
An 18-year-old St. Charles man was cited for failing to give his information after he struck a vehicle in the 400 block of Ridgelawn Trail on Oct. 26.
A 32-year-old Addison man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a stop or yield sign, and squealing his tires near Elm Street and Batavia Avenue on Oct. 24. His companion, a 31-year-old West Chicago man, was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger.
An iPad was stolen from a house in the 600 block of Lusted Lane on Oct. 24.
An 18-year-old Aurora man was cited for retail theft from Kohl’s, 251 N. Randall Road, on Oct. 22. A 24-year-old Aurora man was also cited for retail theft from Kohl’s on Oct. 17. A 53-year-old St. Charles woman was cited for retail theft from Goodwill, 450 N. Randall Rd., on Oct. 17.
A purse was reported stolen from El Casanova restaurant, 1890 Mill St., on Oct. 19. The theft had occurred the previous day.

A Batavia man and woman, both 21, were charged with mob action, robbery and battery on Oct. 16 after they approached a 16-year-old girl, struck her and took by force her bag of cannabis. The girl told police the man and woman were acquaintances. Police said they were dealing with the girl’s possession of cannabis on a “local level.”
A wallet valued at $200 was reported stolen on Oct. 15 from the 100 block of North Randall Road. The wallet and a coat were in a cart, and when the victim checked, someone had stolen the wallet, which contained several credit cards and $30 in cash. A credit card was used at Meijer in St. Charles soon after.
