
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Jeremy Langford ran for 177 yards and three touchdowns as No. 8 MichiganState continued its dominance over in-state rival Michigan with a 35-11 victory Saturday at Spartan Stadium.

Lippett finished with three catches for 103 yards. It was his sixth 100-yard receiving game and he has nine touchdowns this season.
It was another long afternoon for the Wolverines, and specifically quarterback Devin Gardner. He was sacked twice, lost a fumble and threw a pair of interceptions, one returned 29 yards for a touchdown byMichigan State safety RJ Williamson.
Gardner was 13-for-28 for 121 yards while the Wolverines gained only 186 total yards.
The Wolverines were also held without a touchdown until the fourth quarter, ending their streak of quarters without a touchdown in the series against the Spartans at 11.
Michigan State didn’t take long to get on the scoreboard, taking its opening drive 75 yards and going up 7-0 on a 2-yard run from Langford with 11:52 to play in the first quarter. After recovering a Gardner fumble, the Spartans followed with an 11-play drive but came up empty after kicker Michael Geiger missed a 36-yard field goal, pushing it wide right for his fifth missed field goal this season.
Midway through the second quarter, the Wolverines took advantage of a Michigan State turnover to get on the board. Michigan State tight end Josiah Price hauled in a 14-yard pass but fumbled when he was hit by Michigan defensive Jarrod Wilson. The ball was recovered by Hill, giving them the ball at the Spartans’ 31.
Michigan didn’t gain a yard on the drive but got a 48-yard field goal from Matt Wile to cut the MichiganState lead to 7-3 with 3:30 to play in the first half.
The Spartans wasted little time on the next drive, however, marching into Michigan territory before Langford took over. He took a screen pass 18 yards to the Michigan 7 and appeared to score on the next play but a replay review said he was down at the 1.
Langford scored his second touchdown two plays later to extend Michigan State’s lead to 14-3 with 21 seconds to play in the half.
After teams traded punts to open the second half, Michigan State’s defense came up with a big play when Williamson intercepted a Gardner pass and returned it 29 yards for the touchdown, giving the Spartans a 21-3 lead with 8:33 to play in the third quarter and went up 28-3 on a 70-yard TD by Lippett.

Michigan running back De’Veon Smith scored on a 1-yard touchdown run with 3:40 to play and Gardner hit tight end Jake Butt for the two-point conversion before Langford added the exclamation point with a 5-yard touchdown run for Michigan State in the final minute.
NOTES: Michigan freshman DB Jabrill Peppers was not on the dress list, along with LB Desmond Morgan.
