Guy Harvey Outpost Resorts & Lodges is adding its third property in Florida, the Fort Lauderdale-based hotel branding company announced Wednesday.

Joining its signature collection of eco-friendly boutique lodgings is the 153-room Holiday Isle Oceanfront Resort on St. Augustine Beach.

As part of its rebranding plans, Holiday Isle will undergo a multimillion dollar renovation, which is now getting underway, and work is expected to be completed by late summer 2015.

“It’s a historic day, so to speak, to bring our flag ashore here in America’s oldest city,” said Mark Ellert, president, Guy Harvey Outpost, in a statement.

The resort’s rooms, public areas and grounds will be enhanced and a new casual “sea and farm” to table bar and restaurant will be added, the company said.

Once renovations are complete, Holiday Isle is expected to open as Guy Harvey Outpost Resort St. Augustine Beach by next fall.

Independently owned, Guy Harvey Outpost signature properties typically feature beach, boating, fishing and diving amenities and programs. The hotel branding company’s mission is to inspire travel to unique destinations, promote sustainable tourism and engage travelers in environmentally responsible and memorable activities.

Guy Harvey Outpost also has signature properties in Islamorada and St. Pete Beach.

Holiday Isle is just south of the St. Augustine inlet and is owned by St. Augustine Resorts, Inc. and managed by H.I. Development.
