ESPN now has a good connection to the White House.

The network hired Craig Robinson Tuesday to work as a college basketball game and studio analyst for ESPNU. Robinson, who was fired after six seasons as head coach at Oregon State, is the brother of Michelle Obama.

It remains to be seen whether ESPN will tap into that relationship to gain access to President Obama. He does have an annual ritual with the network’s Andy Katz where he selects his brackets for the men’s and women’s NCAA basketball tournaments.

Former South Florida and Arkansas coach Stan Heath also was added as an analyst for ESPNU.
