The following items were collected from reports released by the La Grange Police Department.
A 12-year-old boy was reportedly approached by a suspicious man who asked him if he wanted candy and pop near the intersection of Maple and Blackstone avenues the afternoon of Sept. 29. According to police, the man was driving in an older model, navy blue, four-door sedan. The boy was riding his bike on his way home from school at the time, when the man pulled alongside the boy. The boy ignored the man and rode away. The offender is described as a white man with a black mustache and beard, approximately 50 years old.

A 66-year-old man told police he was waiting for employees to leave a business in the 100 block of West Calendar Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 1 when a teenager ran by and hit the man with a stick and ran away.
Two men — a 58-year-old man whose last known address was in LaGrange Park, and a 40-year-old listed as homeless — were arrested for having open alcohol in Gordon Park at about 3:30 p.m. Oct. 5, according to police reports.
A man reportedly walked into Ivy Treatment Properties Massage, 14 W. Burlington, LaGrange, stole a money bag containing less than $500, and fled south down LaGrange Road in a four-door tan car at about 4:40 p.m. Oct. 5, according to police reports.
An iPad was reported stolen from Lyons Township High School Oct. 5.
A wallet was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 800 block of South LaGrange Avenue some time between 1 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Oct. 2, according to police reports.
A bike that was reportedly chained near the LaGrange Road train station was reported stolen Oct. 1.
