I’m trying. I know you’re trying, too.
I’m talking about Jay Cutler and all I can say is I’m trying to get on board.
Here’s the popular storyline: Cutler wasn’t to blame because the Bears defense was awful and Aaron Rodgers was typically awesome.
“Hey, it’s Aaron Rodgers” was the typical quote I heard from Bears defenders.
Like there’s nothing anyone can do.
Um, unless I’m mistaken, you do have the option of hitting him and tackling him. I believe that is still legal in the NFL.
Seriously. No hits, no hurries, barely one sack. Lamarr Houston, we have a problem. You’re nowhere. Jared Allen, get healthy. Everyone else, please, get tough or leave town. You’re embarrassing this city.
Now to Cutler. Yes, the defense did him no favors. And Brandon Marshall’s mistake did cost him dearly. But I thought this stuff wasn’t supposed to happen. I actually convinced myself that this stuff was in the past because of “You know, Year 2 in the Trestman system!”
Year 2 and he’s still doing this crap.
Jay, we’re paying you a lot of money not to do this crap. We’re paying you Aaron Rodgers money to play more like Aaron Rodgers. No more apologies. No more excuses. The Bears were in this game until you threw those picks. You’re not innocent.
I need a break from football because I’m going to hurt someone. Here you go: Adam Dunn retires! Yay!
Thank you, Adam. You’re also four years late because that stint with the White Sox, where you stole $15 million a year to play like a minor leaguer, was incredible. No one was paid more and delivered less, unless you’re counting Jay Cut- … never mind.
Hey, I see Chris Sale and Robin Ventura got into a heated exchange. Thank you both—nice to see some blood boil now and then. Enough with nice guy robots around here. I want to see blood boil!
And we just might, as the new Bulls were introduced this week. I’m not crying over Carmelo Anthony. And you shouldn’t either. He’s overpaid and he’s not a winner, like Jay … oh never mind.
