A man from Lombard was killed when a tire crashed through the windshield of a car on an interstate near Madison, Wis.
Mark C. Bolan, 55, was a passenger in the car when the tire flew off a car in an oncoming lane shortly before 1:30 a.m. Monday on westbound Interstate 90, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The tire burst through the windshield and struck Bolan, the state patrol said. The driver lost control of the car and crashed into a concrete barrier on the right shoulder of the highway.

Estelle Corr, operator of Kalora Dobermans in New York, said she knew Bolan for three years. In 2011. he purchased a Doberman he named Maximus B. Kissable from Corr.
“He was a wonderful man and all I hoped for in an owner,” Corr said.
She said Bolan showed Max on his own and with professional handler, and achieved numerous wins.
