Jazzy Kerber of Highland Park finished 19th in the all-around Friday at the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Izmir, Turkey.
That was an improvement of three places over Kerber’s finish last year. Kerber was the only U.S. gymnast to qualify for the all-around finals this year.
Russia took the top two all-around spots, with Yana Kudryavtseva winning gold and Margarita Mamun silver. The Ukraine’s Ganna Rizatdinova was third.
Kerber, 17, a senior at Highland Park High School, also was part of the U.S. team that took 12th, another improvement of three places.
