Welcome to Bears Brain Teasers 2014, where we challenge skills you thought were useless once you left elementary school.
Packers fans love their cheese so much, they wear foam versions of it on their heads. So, to give Lambeau what it wants for rivalry week, we’re going to make some mac and cheese for this week’s question:
How many boxes of Kraft Original Macaroni and Cheese would it take to feed every fan at Lambeau Field a single serving assuming the stadium is at maximum capacity, and how much would that cost? (We used Peapod grocery delivery to get the price of a single box.)
ANSWER: It would take 26,912 boxes of Macaroni and Cheese at a cost of $42,789.55 plus tax (plus tax) to feed a single serving to every fan. We got there by taking the cost of one box, $1.59, and dividing that by 3 to get the cost of a single serving (there are three servings per box). Multiply that answer, 53 cents, by 80,735—the capacity of Lambeau—and you get $42,789.55. To get the number of boxes, divide 80,735 by 3 and you get 26,912 (rounding up).
