Chef Michael McDonald will take the helm as executive chef at Zed451 in River North. He replaces Mike Hernandez. McDonald is formerly executive chef of Luxbar and One Sixtyblue, which closed in early 2012. Last September it was announced McDonald was consulting at Rockit Ranch, also in River North.
Zed451 will debut its new fall menu at the end of this month.
Park Grill in Millennium Park has announced its new executive chef is Jared Case, who was once a contestant on the Food Network’s “Chef Wanted.” Case is formerly executive chef of Prasino Restaurants and executive sous chef at Chicago’s Conrad Hilton Hotel. He’s a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York’s Hyde Park.
