Bears fans won’t see Brandon Marshall celebrating his three-touchdown game against San Francisco on tonight’s edition of “Inside The NFL” on Showtime.

Marshall didn’t make the trip to New York as he did on the previous two Tuesdays in his role as analyst for the show. Chris DeBlasio, a spokesman for Showtime Sports, said the receiver wasn’t scheduled to appear because the Bears played a Sunday night game in San Francisco.

Marshall and the team returned early Monday morning. If he did the show Tuesday, it would require him catching at private plane between 5:30-6 a.m.

DeBlasio said Marshall’s absence wasn’t due to him remaining in Chicago on Tuesday to get treatment for his injured ankle.

“There are no issues,” DeBlasio said. “He wasn’t here because of the Sunday night game.”

In an interview with the Tribune in late August, Showtime Sports general manager Stephen Espinoza said that while he wanted Marshall in New York for every show possible, “Brandon has made it clear that his performance on the field is No. 1, 2 and 3 priority.”

Marshall will be on the show next Tuesday. He will remain overnight in New York after the Bears-Jets game on Monday.
