Skokie police on Friday were asking for the public’s help in locating a 79-year-old local man who went missing in Chicago on Thursday, authorities said.
Bhim S. Chanana, 79, was last seen after being dropped off by a family member at the Republic Bank on Devon Avenue near Rockwell Street in Chicago at 11:30 a.m. Thursday and has not been heard from since.
Chanana, who is Asian-American, wears glasses and has hearing aids in both ears, police said. He is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weigh 180 pounds with white hair and brown eyes. He suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure and a heart ailment.
Police said that Chanana uses public transportation, that he owns a property in the 2100 block of West Rosemont Street in Chicago and is known to frequent businesses in the area of Lawrence and Western avenues.
