Welcome to Alex’s Washington Gardens, an Italian restaurant located at 256 Green Bay Rd. in tucked away Highwood. This longstanding establishment is garden by name only: The interior is rustic and wood-paneled, with framed oil paintings over each booth. On the menu, find fresh seafood and traditional Italian dishes such as fried calamari, pasta primavera, veal Marsala and thin-crust pizza.
