A 16-year-old boy is in serious condition after being shot in West Englewood this morning, police said.
The boy was shot in the back after a verbal altercation escalated at 11:40 a.m. in the 2300 block of West 68th Street, according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic.
He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.
