A Glen Ellyn man was charged with child abduction and unlawful restraint after trying to pull a 15-year-old girl into some bushes, police said.
Damian Skoczylas, 21, grabbed the victim shortly before 9 p.m. July 29 as she was walking north on Ridgeland Avenue near Adams Street, Oak Park police Cmdr. LaDon Reynolds said.
Skoczylas had been walking near the girl, shouting “give me a show, you should give me a show,” before grabbing her and pulling her into a grassy area with some bushes south of Adams, Reynolds said.
The girl screamed and flagged down a passerby, who called police. The man was arrested shortly thereafter near Ridgeland and Madison Street, Reynolds said.
Skoczylas was transported to Cook County Jail, he said. The charges are both felonies.
