Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

As it turns out, I’ve had a bad case of White Sox bias.

It’s a terrible condition. It stems from years of watching the same guys who have never actually amounted to anything.

Yet, by hanging around long enough, you assume they’ve developed into great players. But really, they’ve hung around too long and need to go. The following is a list of those who need to go. I’m sorry, this may hurt.

Gordon Beckham. Please. We’re still waiting for the steadiness in the field to translate into some kind of presence at the plate. We’ve been waiting for five years. Time to go.

Alexei Ramirez. This is tough because he’s good in the field and having a good year, but come on. We’ve waited long enough and he is what he is. Someone will pay big for him.

Tyler Flowers. A nice young man, handles the staff well. Um, not a difference maker. He’s just kind of there. Let’s find a buyer!

Adam Dunn. Oh please. I can’t wait to get this contract off the books. In my mind, that money is already spent—on half a dozen good players.

Alejandro De Aza. I won’t miss his undisciplined swinging. I won’t miss anything, come to think of it.

Dayan Viciedo. Well, he’s still young so you want to give him a chance. But years of waiting for a light that won’t go on is my big fear. Cut it now, I say.

Sorry guys. You are what you are. And will not be missed.

Speaking of trades, the Bulls are back in the Kevin Love sweepstakes. Basically, it’s Doug McDermott, Taj Gibson and Nikola Mirotic for Kevin Love.

Yeah that’s great. If we do that, there’s one problem. There’s nobody left to play!

Sorry, the way Thibs coaches this team, we need one thing: volume. If those guys go, there’s not enough to play Bulls basketball!

Oh, silly me! There’s nothing to worry about. I’m sure we’re being played just like always.

And besides, training camp is here! Let the 10-6 season begin!

Oh, and playoffs or bust.

It’s time.
