The following items were gathered from reports released by the St. Charles Police Department.
A 19-year-old St. Charles woman and a 22-year-old St. Charles woman were both charged with fighting on May 19 after police responded to reports of a fight in progress in the 1600 block of Indiana Street. One of the women was transported to Delnor Hospital because she was pregnant.
A 36-year-old Chicago man was charged with felony retail theft for stealing a watch, wallet, and sunglasses from Von Maur, 3810 E. Main St., on May 16.
A 57-year-old North Aurora man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage on May 19 after he was stopped in the 700 block of South Kirk Road when police saw him swerving out of his lane.
A 24-year-old St. Charles man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, operating an uninsured vehicle and not having a driver’s license on May 20. When police stopped him for crossing into other driving lanes, they discovered that he had two active warrants out of DuPage County for driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia. When they searched the car, they found a glass pipe with burnt cannabis inside. The man was also cited for improper lane usage.
A 42-year-old St. Charles man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on May 16 after police received an anonymous tip that a man who had been drinking all day was driving with his 14-year-old son in the back of the car. Once stopped in the 1700 block of 3rd Place, he failed field sobriety tests.
A 19-year-old St. Charles man was charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia and an 18-year-old St. Charles man was charged with possession of cannabis after police approached them while they were smoking at Mt. St. Mary’s Park on May 17.
An 18-year-old Elgin man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and leaving the scene of an accident after he hit a car at the St. Charles Place Apartments on May 17. When police later stopped him in the 300 block of South 14th Street, they found the drug paraphernalia in the car. He was also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal consumption. His passenger, a 19-year-old man, was cited for illegal consumption of alcohol.
A 55-year-old Franklin Park man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to signal after police stopped him in the 300 block of West Main Street on May 18.
A 22-year-old St. Charles woman was cited for public drunkenness on May 18 after she screamed racial slurs and kicked the doors at Dawn’s Beach Hut, 8 N. 3rd St., when she was denied service because she was too intoxicated.
