A South Side man has been charged in the killing of a 17-year-old boy.
Elvin L. Prince Jr., 27, of the 3000 block of West 79th Place, has been charged with first-degree murder in the killing of Kayshaun Hall, police said.
Prince was in a vehicle driving in the 8400 block of South Kedzie Avenue about 5 p.m. Tuesday when someone inside started shooting in Hall’s direction.
The 17-year-old was struck in the chest as he stood in an alley, according to police. He died on the scene.
Prince is expected to appear in bond court today.
