A teacher at Hampshire High School has been placed on leave while officials investigate allegations of “inappropriate behavior” with one of her students.

“A concern has been raised about inappropriate behavior that allegedly took place between an HHS staff member and a student,” the school said in a letter to parents. “While the police investigation is taking place, the staff member has been placed on administrative leave, as is customary practice.”

The school said it could not release any other details about the allegations against the 23-year-old teacher.

“We fully understand that you probably have many questions and would like more specifics,” the letter stated. “We hope that you also understand that we must be fair to everyone directly involved and limit our comments.”
