A 27-year-old man has died following a beating last month in the South Side’s Englewood neighborhood, authorities said.
Anthony Morris, of Jackson, Tenn. was pronounced dead at 7:20 a.m. Thursday at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Police said Morris was taken to Advocate Christ after being found battered about 1:35 p.m .on March 26 in the 7000 block of South Vincennes Avenue.
Details about the circumstances of the beating were not immediately released. Area South detectives are investigating.
