player ready...Authorities have charged a 21-year-old South Side man in connection with a shooting on Tuesday in the Stony Island Park neighborhood.
Romando Williams, of the 7600 block of South Crandon Avenue, has been charged with one felony count of aggravated battery with a firearm and one misdemeanor count of cannabis possession.
Police said Williams was arrested about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, less than two hours after he allegedly shot a 21-year-old man who was sitting in a vehicle in the 8400 block of South Bennett Avenue about 10:50 a.m.
The man in the vehicle was struck in the arm and was treated and released from Advocate Trinity Hospital.
Williams was expected to appear in bond court today.
