The Chinese-born Wang, 35, earned an MBA from Kellogg in 2008 after spending a year in Chicago studying finance and marketing, a university spokeswoman said. After graduation, he returned to Beijing where he worked for Chicago-based consultants A.T. Kearney until 2010.
According to Wang’s LinkedIn account, he joined the Boston Consulting Group’s Beijing Office in 2010 and became a principal in the firm two years later. His account lists his hobbies as photography, traveling, table tennis and “IT gadgets.”
Wang was traveling with his wife Jiao Weiwei, 32, and their 2-year-old son, Moheng. According to multiple media reports, the family was returning from a Malaysian beach vacation with Jiao’s parents, Jiao Wenxue and Dai Shuling, both 58, when the jetliner disappeared.
