An abundance of 3D titles with premium pricing, including “
,” “Despicable Me 2,” “Man of Steel,” “Monsters University,” “Frozen,” “Gravity,” “Oz the Great and Powerful” and “Star Trek Into Darkness,” contributed to the rise in ticket prices. A majority of these films were also released in IMAX 3D and comprise the year’s top 10 highest grossing titles.
