” off the Feb. 13 slot and replaced it with the reboot of “
.”
“Poltergeist” is a co-production with MGM and stars Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt.
“The Longest Ride” will now open on April 3, 2015. With both films aiming at the same demographic and “Fifty Shades of Grey” having a much larger fan base, the move makes sense for Fox to swap with “Poltergeist” which will play as good counter-programing.
Fox has also set the release date for “Planet of the Apes 3” to July 29, 2016.
