Caboose Park

This suburban hill has a toboggan chute and is lit from 5:30-10:00 p.m. for nighttime sledding.

Caldwell Woods

This lighted slope has a warming center with a wood-burning fire pit perfect for warming frozen fingers.

Century Park

A new warming shelter with restrooms at the nearby Century Park North Pavilion makes this hill a convenient spot for families. On weekends, rent ice skates and take a turn on the adjacent rink from 1-9 p.m.

Cricket Hill

The whole family, Fido included, can enjoy the lakefront views from atop the steep slope east of Lake Shore Drive.

Dan Ryan Woods

The 200-foot-long slope at this hill is never overcrowded, and it’s lit with a clearly marked path back to the top for repeat trips.

Steps up to the slope make the climb easy for tots at this fam-friendly hill, which is lit in the evenings for after-dark sledding.

The southeast corner of the stadium has a 220-foot-long man-made slope that’s always kept snowy, thanks to park district’s snow machine.

Make the most of a winter day in this park by swishing down the sled hills, then strapping on some skates at the Chicago Blackhawks Ice Rink.
