Update: South Side woman, 19, missing for more than week found

A 19-year-old woman who went missing from her South Side home more than a week was found this morning.

Jessica Deshazer, of the 9300 block of South Elizabeth Street in the Brainerd neighborhood was located about 9 a.m. and taken by a family member to an area hospital for evaluation, police said.

There was no immediate information available about the circumstances leading up to her being found.

Family members had told WGN-TV she is developmentally delayed.
