Kentucky 4-1, Notre Dame 6-1
Brian Hamilton‘s quick look:
Another reloaded, freshman-led Kentucky team is led by guard Archie Goodwin (19 ppg) and swingman Alex Poythress (18.4 ppg, 7.4 rpg). The Wildcats did shoot 49 percent and made a furious comeback in their lone loss to Duke. The Irish got 10-plus assists from a revived backcourt of Eric Atkins and Jerian Grant on Monday against Chicago State, believed to be the first time two Notre Dame players achieved that in the same game.
