You will find the new baiduhai mobile site here:
touch.chicagotribune.com
There is nothing to download.
Just to go that URL. It will take you to a site that fits your specific device.
You will find the same Tribune stories and columns you previously found here, plus more photos, galleries and video.
You can add the new site to your home screen just like an app. I’ve added the instructions below, along with answers to some other questions I’ve received over the last few days.
I appreciate your readership and I hope you will try our new site.
If you have a question or want to suggest improvements for the new site, please email me at [email protected].

When will off-line reading be available?
I met with our development team Friday and we hope to add off-line reading to the site by December.
How do I add the Tribune button to my home screen of my iPad or iPhone?
If you want our new site on your home screen, go to this link:
http://touch.chicagotribune.com
Click on the icon with the arrow popping out of a box. (On an iPad, it is to the left of URL at the top; on an Iphone, it’s at the bottom in the middle.)
The navigation will give you some choices: Pick “Add to Home Screen.”
A prompt will pop up . . . Hit the “Add” button.
You should be good to go.
Why did you retire this native app and replace it with a Web app?
We feel like we can improve at much faster pace by going with a Web app. Based on real-time feedback from users, we are releasing updates with new functionality every other week.
