Oak Lawn police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who robbed a local cell phone store at gunpoint Tuesday evening.
The two men entered the store on the 10300 block of South Cicero Avenue at 6:35 p.m., pointed handguns at the two employees and took cash. The robbers ordered the employees to lie down on the floor, and then fled on foot to a parking lot at 103rd Street and Lacrosse Avenue. Neither employee was injured.
A K-9 team tracked the pair to the lot, where the scent ended, suggesting they fled in a vehicle.
Both men were described as African-American and in their 30s. One man, 6-foot-1, reportedly was wearing a brown jacket and multi-colored ball cap. The other, 6-foot-2, had on a dark jacket, orange shirt, black jeans, white gym shoes with a dark stripe and a Yankees ball cap.
Anyone with information about the crime or the two men is asked to call Oak Lawn Police at 708-422-8292.
