Gavin Floyd’s bullpen session Thursday went so well, he has hopes of starting again for the White Sox in the next week.
On the disabled list with an elbow flexor strain, Floyd will throw another bullpen session Sunday when he will mix in curveballs. He threw sliders, changeups and fastballs Thursday.
“It felt good, very minimal soreness,” Floyd (9-9) said.
Asked what happens after Sunday, Floyd answered: “I don’t know, but I think the plan is for me to go back in the rotation as soon as possible, as long as everything goes as planned.”
