Prosecutors worried that an exotic dancer won’t show up to testify at the murder trial for Christopher Vaughn in August are asking a judge to issue a bond or warrant to make sure she appears.
Vaughn went to see Chrystal Miller at a gentlemen’s club two days before allegedly killing his wife and three children in 2007, according to court filings. He spent heavily but left her “with a strange feeling,” the records say.
Miller is just one of the strippers who may be called to testify. Vaughn allegedly told another dancer at VIP’s in Chicago that he was going to divorce his wife and “she would never see it coming,” prosecutors said.
A subpoena for Miller was issued in March, but attempts to serve her at her Chicago apartment and in a meeting were unsuccessful, prosecutors wrote in a motion filed this week.

Prosecutors are asking that Judge Daniel Rozak set a personal recognizance bond for Miller at a hearing next week or, if she fails to appear at the hearing, to issue an arrest warrant.
Vaughn’s trial is scheduled to begin Aug. 13.
