McCormick Place is adding some new retail amenities to its mix, with Jamba Juice the latest addition, the convention center’s board was informed Monday morning.

The juice and smoothie retailer opened on the level just under the main concourse linking the North and South buildings May 1, according to David Causton, the center’s general manager.

In September, a Starbucks will open in the same area, becoming the 4th location where attendees can purchase the company’s coffee drinks.

Also in September, American Express will open a lounge nearby for cardholders. It will function similarly to airport lounges.

Separately, La Brea Bakery, a sandwich, soup and baked goods restaurant, opened recently in the West Building.
